Taber Linear Abrasion Tester
INTRODUCTION
The Taber® Linear Abraser incorporates a "freefloating head" that strokes in a linear motion and can test virtually any size or shape- flat, concave or convex. Interchangeable attachments can be used to convert the instrument from a Wear Tester to a Scratch Tester, Crock Meter or custom configuration. When used as a wear tester, a ¼ inch wide wear path is generated from 0.5 inch to 4 inches in length.
The Taber® Linear Abraser is ideal for testing plastics, automotive componenets, painted parts, printed graphics, optical products, rubber, leather, textiles and for use in testing laboratories.
With adjustable stroke length, speed, load, and a wide selection of Taber Wearasers, the Linear Abraser allows you to customize test parameters to your exact needs. An optional specimen table provides additional flexibility for small or oddshaped samples. Plus, optional attachments can be used to perform scratch, coin scrape, Crockmeter, rub and custom testing. The Linear Abraser abrades with a Wearaser®. The size and shape of a pencil eraser, the Wearaser uses the highquality Taber abrasive media found in our worldfamous wheels so you're assured of consistent test results.

- Two operating modes, Run (during normal testing) and Reface mode is provided for wear testing and allows the user to reface the abradant without having to reprogram the number of cycles.
- Maintain consistent testing standards with Taber’s world famous abrasives.
- Stroke lengths 0.5”, 1.0”, 2.0”, 3.0”, 4.0”
- Variable Stroke speeds 2-75 cycles per minute
- Preset stroke speeds: 2, 15, 25, 30, 40, 60 cycles per minute
- Programmable test duration: Up to 9,999 cycles (note-abradant may wear prior to end of test)
- Adjustable load 350-2100 grams w/optional weight discs
- CS-10 Calibrase® Wearasers are included. Custom abradants available.
