TMI Motorized Notching Cutter (TMI 22-05-03)Used in conjunction with the Model 43-02 Monitor Impact tester, the TMI Motorized Notching Cutter, Model 22-05-03, produces a notch in a test specimen for ASTM D 256 and ISO 180 according to the IZOD Standard. Charpy notches can also be made according to ASTM D 6110 and ISO 179.
It is noted in ASTM standards that it is extremely critical to produce an accurate cut and to measure the depth and contour of the notch before testing. Result data will be compromised due to poor sample preparation.
Model 22-05-03 Motorized Notching Cutter automates the specimen notching procedure to produce a repeatable and accurate cut every time. An easy to use thickness gage is included to verify the depth cut before testing.
