Electro-Mechanical Assemblers

JOB SUMMARY:
Our manufacturing team is seeking Electro-Mechanical Assemblers to assemble, wire, and solder electrical and mechanical assemblies in accordance with appropriate specifications and a high workmanship standard.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  1. To produce product assemblies according to project documentation ensuring that the quality standards are achieved.
  2. To ensure that all production work is recorded for all prescribed process activities including rejections and repair actions upon the Job Paperwork and associated documents.
  3. To ensure that all material used is handled safely to prevent unwanted damage.
  4. To adhere to all written procedures and work instructions ensuring that the Company products are produced to acceptable quality criterion.
  5. Ensuring that there is inspection approval from previous operation before commencing further assigned production work.
  6. To ensure that Company products being produced are identified at all times.
  7. To ensure that any defects incurred during process work are identified, segregated, and agreement on corrective action is sought.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. To ensure that all machines and tools used are maintained and serviced and that the fitting areas are kept clean.
  2. To use and file all project documentation received from engineering ensuring that they are checked for current revision and kept in a safe central location when not in use.
  3. To completely fill out time card for each operation on all Jobs.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  1. Demonstrated knowledge of standard manufacturing practices in the areas of mechanical assembly and electrical assembly. Electrical assembly would include printed circuit board assembly, chassis wiring, and electrical alignment.
  2. Demonstrated knowledge and use of related tools and equipment used within a manufacturing environment, such as hand tools, machine tools, soldering tools, measuring tools - mechanical and electrical.
  3. Ability to read and understand required drawings, schematics and work instructions.
  4. Problem sensitivity and complex problem solving.
  5. Critical thinking and active listening.
  6. Demonstrated knowledge of circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, and computer hardware and software including applications and programming.
  7. Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications.
  8. Strong troubleshooting skills including use of a multimeter.
  9. Ability to follow/read blueprints, wiring schematics, written work instructions and verbal instructions.

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:

  1. Minimum of an Associates degree or equivalent in either mechanical or electrical / electronic technology from an accredited college or technical school.  Associates degree or equivalent may be substituted with at least two years of actual prior experience.
  2. Any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.



Systems Administrator

JOB SUMMARY: 

Manages all software systems used by the Company with a focus on the SyteLine ERP System.  This position will report directly to the VP of Operations.  Maintain corporate information integrity, information security and budget control on all IT related accounts. Work with all associates from all Divisions and plants as well as personal interaction with the Corporate Group. Travel to other plant locations as well as to software vendor sites is to be expected.

Business/Process Analyst to provide support to the business through the use of the SyteLine(v8.00) business application, Crystal Report Writer, Cognos Business Intelligence, SQL Server, QuoteWerks and MS Office Applications. This involves a keen understanding of the above tools, with the primary focus being on SyteLine. Solutions developed by this individual will be implemented across the entire organization; therefore special care must be given to think through how these solutions will impact multiple business units. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Coordinate software systems at all locations to ensure optimal efficiency and effectiveness, maintaining data integrity and security
  2. Responsible for maintaining and supporting all software utilized, including the purchase of such and related supplies in compliance with budget.
  3. Oversee the utilization of our ERP system (SyteLine) and provide technical support that includes database configuration, including the addition of E-commerce capability and coordination of custom report writing.  Continue to find ways to enhance utilization of the ERP system.
  4. Test and install ERP system patches.  Monitor and enhance ERP system performance to run at optimum speed and efficiency.
  5. Establish and maintain an Intranet \ Knowledgebase
  6. Enhance and maintain an Intranet based Visual Assembly System
  7. Develop workflows within the SyteLine system
  8. Bridge the ERP system with the web to enhance functionality of ERP system, including access to demand streams and payment information for our customers and vendors
  9. Work with Marketing on maintenance of our Website and internet functionality
  10. Continuously improve processes and procedures within the Company through the use of technology
  11. Implementation of webinars for internal communications and external training
  12. Assist with Help Desk Support including responding to the needs and questions of users concerning their Office applications and e-mail services.  Include training on Microsoft applications on a regular basis.
  13. Work to ensure appropriate archival of files and programs for backup recovery
  14. Ensure compliance with all IT related policies as outlined in the employee handbook and Corporate Policy
  15. Work closely with management and decision makers in other departments to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective and optimal technology solutions for all aspects of the organization, including manufacturing
  16. Develop and implement a Data Disaster Recovery Plan for all locations
  17. Define and implement IT policies, procedures, and best practices
  18. Other duties as assigned.

Skills required:

  1. Infor ERP Syteline v8.00 experience required.
  2. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
  3. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
  4. Technical proficiency in Windows Operating Systems
  5. Integral knowledge of Microsoft Applications
  6. SQL programming skills and Crystal Report writing experience
  7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Education and Experience: 

  1. Bachelors Degree in MIS, Computer Science or related field of study

Bookkeeper/Accounting Clerk

Reports To: Controller

Job Summary:

The Bookkeeper/Office Administrator will be responsible for assisting the Controller in daily accounting duties. He/she will also assist the A/R and A/P departments as needed.

Essential Job Duties:

  1. Files monthly, quarterly, and annual sales taxes for domestic companies.
  2. Files monthly VAT for French company, and assistance with Dutch company.
  3. Assists with VAT recoverable reporting (scan all VAT receipts).
  4. Assists the Accounting Department with A/R and A/P filing.
  5. Obtains daily banking activity for AR and AP departments.
  6. Enter wires information for A/P payments, commissions, and inter-company transfers into several banking accounts (foreign and domestic banking).
  7. Verifies commission information received from sales is correct and reconciles with accounting system
  8. Sends commission payment confirmations via email with detailed information to company Sales Representatives.
  9. Updates commission spreadsheet on a monthly basis.
  10. Performs bank reconciliations of domestic and foreign accounts.
  11. Monitors and tracks the credit card expenses of 15+ employees.
  12. Updates expense spreadsheet to classify correct expense accounts.
  13. Maintains and updates the Company's paperless storage of credit card receipts via scanning.
  14. Creates a filing/tracking system for the Executive travel and credit card expenses.
  15. Performs journal entries and various data entry tasks.
  16. Assists Controller with annual tax preparation.
  17. Organizes and maintains accounting information on the server including 1099 information.
  18. To prepare checks to be mailed to vendors.
  19. To answer and direct incoming telephone calls.
  20. To perform additional administrative tasks as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  1. Must possess expert knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  2. Must possess advanced technical and computer skills.
  3. Must possess strong organizational and time management skills.
  4. Must be able to multi-task.

Training and Experience:

  1. High school degree or equivalent required.
  2. Experience in an administrative/clerical role required; Associate's degree in Accounting or related field preferred.
  3. Experience in an accounting role required.
  4. Experience with SyteLine or similar ERP (i.e. SAP, Oracle) strongly preferred.

Materials Manager

JOB SUMMARY:

This is a highly visible position with responsibility to provide results driven leadership to the purchasing, planning, production, shipping/receiving, and inventory areas and their respective day to day operations. Key areas of accountability include hands-on participation in department planning, purchasing, inventory management, scheduling, supplier network, best practices, quality and continued improvement of responsible areas.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

  1. Performs analysis of customer demand, sales forecasts and historical material usage to develop and execute build to order and build to forecast plans.
  2. Establishes and supervises production scheduling activities by monitoring material inventories, tracking progress of production and reviewing factors that affect schedules.
  3. Identify, develop and manage effective relationships with existing and potential suppliers of goods and services to meet the established cost, quality and delivery targets.
  4. Coordinate and work with quality, engineering, machining and assembly operations to ensure timely delivery by establishing and monitoring schedule to proactively identify and address any issues.
  5. Ensure timely receipt of materials to support the production schedule.
  6. To ensure accuracy of data in ERP system including location, quantity on hand, value, etc.
  7. To manage the Company's stock room ensuring that material stored is kept undamaged, identified, and in its correct location.
  8. Interface with the Vice President of Operations to establish workflow including release dates and Production's scrap, re-work and production times for completed work orders.
  9. To ensure that any delays incurred due to rejections and shortages within Production are monitored and resolved and are reported to Sales.
  10. Assist Repair Dept. with any material, space and/or machine shop requirements that might be necessary in order to perform repairs in a timely fashion.
  11. Process all PM&C material request, including; process requisition, enter and process transfer, create assembly jobs, ship parts ensuring to meet time sensitive material.
  12. Ensure all customer orders are appropriately packaged and shipped promptly, accurately and with all necessary documentation.
  13. Deliver and/or pickup material at local vendors for time sensitive requirements.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  1. Working knowledge of MRP theories and practices and accepted office/plant procedures.
  2. Ability to perform a large volume of material transactions with speed and accuracy utilizing an MRP computer system.
  3. Competent with computer software including Microsoft Office and Crystal Reports.
  4. Leadership skills with the ability to effectively delegate work to subordinates and the ability to evaluate and positively influence performance.
  5. Strong planning, organizational, analytical, communication, and networking skills required.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  1. Bachelor's degree or associate's degree in business administration or material management strongly preferred.
  2. APICS certification a plus.
  3. At least 5 years experience in a supervisory role with extensive experience in purchasing, inventory, planning, and MRP systems within a manufacturing environment.
  4. Experience with Infor ERP SyteLine or similar ERP/MRP system required.
  5. Any combination of education and experience that provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential job duties.



Mechanical Engineer

JOB SUMMARY:

To conduct all assigned projects with moderate supervision from senior members of the R&D team from their initiation to completion ensuring that all mechanical requirements are being met under the agreed time and financial limits throughout the design/development cycle.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

  1. To assume the responsibilities of Project Leader with moderate supervision from senior members of the R&D team ensuring that all schedules, documentation and associated meetings are accomplished accurately, completely and on time.
  2. Participate in the development of project plans identifying key milestones and necessary resources.
  3. Under supervision of senior member of the engineering department, conduct scientific experiments as required for the understanding of material interactions for any development project.
  4. To follow the design and development practices as outlined in the ISO 9001 procedures resulting in projects producing instruments of high operating physical integrity and manufacturability.
  5. To produce mechanical documents that controls the designed projects throughout the projects life cycle.
  6. To attend and participate in project reviews and design meetings for projects to be mechanically designed and developed as required.
  7. To assist with moderate supervision from senior members of the engineering department in the management and maintenance of all mechanical documents such as specifications for all assigned projects being designed and developed.
  8. To assist with moderate supervision from senior members of the engineering department in the management of the revision and design changes that occur on all assigned project mechanical documentation.
  9. To act as liaison with other engineering functions in the engineering department with any activities that effect or will affect the design and development of the mechanical engineering tasks.
  10. Assist the production department during and after any prototype build and assist in the preparation of any documentation required for product release into manufacturing.
  11. Maintain a design database/record book of any ideas, sketches, experiments, or other pertinent information required for the eventual securing of patents.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  1. Have a basic understanding of materials, strength, structures, etc.
  2. Working knowledge of the current CAD system used for documentation and development.
  3. Ability to assemble and understand complex mechanical assemblies.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  1. Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering from and accredited college/university.
  2. At least 1 – 2 years experience in the design and development of products in an engineering department.
  3. Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  4. Any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential job duties.



Electronic and Engineering Support Technician

JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for procurement, development, upgrading, and evaluating new and existing electronic hardware used in the Testing Instruments manufactured at our facility. Candidate will work with mechanical engineering and production to troubleshoot hardware and manufacturing issues. Candidate is responsible for testing finished designs and providing root cause feedback for electronic components and PCB's. Candidate must be able to work in a fast paced team environment.

We have an array of embedded real-time products already in production that occasionally require software enhancements, customizations, and/or new feature implementations. We will be redesigning several products in the near future; therefore the candidate should be capable of implementing a conceptual software system.
