Lab Master® Slip & Friction Tester

Introduction

The 32-71 Lab Master® Slip and Friction Tester is designed to precisely determine the friction characteristics of a variety of materials. The instrument removes operator variability from the test procedure with specially designed features to control sled placement rate, orientation/angle, dwell time, and removal.

Applications

Film and Foil Testing, Package Testing, Paper and Tissue Testing, Plastic Testing, Rubber and Foam Testing, Surface Property Testing

Properties

Coefficient of Friction (CoF) and Slip

Standards

ASTM D 1894, ASTM D 4521, DIN 53375, ISO 15359, TAPPI T 549, TAPPI T 816

The new Windows™-based software features the ability to create user-defined test profiles with built-in ASTM, ISO and TAPPI methods, individual test speed selection for both static and kinetic COF, exporting capabilities of graphs or data to Microsoft Excel® and SPC files, and an enhanced calibration system that verifies existing and new calibration and keeps a log for ISO record-keeping.
