FlexiProof 100 wins award for Flexographic Innovation in Pre-Press and earns the approval of Customers Worldwide
RONKONKOMA, NY - Nov. 12, 2002 - Testing Machines Inc. is pleased to announce that the FlexiProof 100 sample preparation system has received the FlexoTech 2002 award for Flexographic Innovation in Pre-Press.
The FlexiProof 100 enables users to accurately simulate flexographic printing for all pre-press applications, from computer color matching to customer samples to quality control, and from R&D to printability testing. This compact, economical bench-top machine (a scaled-down version of a full-sized flexo press) offers significant set-up and operational savings when testing inks, substrates and printability. For example, it eliminates the need to use a production printing press for pilot runs while still performing standard test procedures.
Tom Kerchiss, Managing Director of RK Print Coat Instruments, the designer and manufacturer of the FlexiProof 100, says that since its international debut at IPEX a number of high profile sales have been made to customers in the UK, France, Germany, Singapore, Belgium, Ukraine, Switzerland, China, and the United States. The FlexiProof 100 is sold and serviced in the United States by Testing Machines Inc.
Ink manufacturers that have purchased the system include high-profile organizations such as Sun Chemical Ink (GPI) of Northlake, Illinois, USA, Mirage Inks and Bousfield Heatons in the UK and US Ink of Carlstadt USA. Customers also include Coates Inks in Guangzhou, China. In Germany the FlexiProof 100 has been delivered to an ink manufacturer and to Eckart GmbH, Europe's premier metallic pigment manufacturer. Systems have also been delivered to US chemical suppliers such as Dow Chemical, and to Reichhold Chemicals, a resin supplier for ink.
Sales are also reported to label printers, board manufacturers and converters' printers of decorative sleeves and to plate manufacturers (Dupont Cyrel Graphics USA and Dupont GmbH) as well as laser engraving manufacturers such as ZED Instruments.
The FlexiProof 100 received enthusiastic response at Label Expo 2002 and PackExpo 2002 in the U.S. The FlexiProof 100 and other sample preparation systems will be shown on the RK stand (number 1218) at the Flexo 2003 show, Birmingham National Exhibition Centre - March 4th - 6th.
